There are two hard courts with floodlighting located next to the Clubhouse and the future possibility of two grass courts.
Members may play anytime as they are given the padlock codes for the main gate and tennis courts.
To the left, you will see a few shots of the resurfacing process which our courts underwent this winter/spring. We now have new fencing in addition to the perfect new playing surface which has been painted/weatherproofed in the WSC colours. Our sincere thanks go out to Sutton Youth Service for their help in funding our improvements, without the grant we would never have been able to afford these beautiful courts.
If you think that's good (well it is), wait till you notice our new grass courts! Our coach Paul Weaver has been working very hard to cultivate a decent playing surface for use this year, but more importantly going forward to next year and beyond. The foundations have been laid and we will be reaping the benefits from now on.
Wallington hockey club has made it’s home at Hillside gardens since 1969. We currently run one side, a mens veterans team affectionately known as the Mohicans.
Mohicans because we are the last of the old Wallington teams. The Mohicans play a full program of fixtures throughout the season competing in the Grass hockey conference.
The conference comprises a number of clubs from Surrey and Kent that still prefer to play hockey on grass pitches on Saturday afternoons.
All the games are friendlies played in a good spirit with a drink and in the case of Wallington a curry after the match.
At the end of each season we run a small fun tournament at Hillside gardens involving five teams and more eating and drinking.
